Who we are and are not
Solar Funding USA is a private company and an independent marketing and referral service. We are not a government agency and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any federal, state or local government agency, utility company or public program. We do not sell, install, design, price or finance solar energy systems. We introduce homeowners to independent solar companies who may contact them. All quotes, contracts, prices, financing terms, warranties, savings and installation are provided by, and are the sole responsibility of, the installing company.
Incentives and tax
Federal, state, local and utility incentives change, and many have ended or been reduced. The federal residential clean energy tax credit (Internal Revenue Code section 25D) is not available for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. Eligibility for any remaining incentive depends on your individual circumstances, tax position, property and utility. We do not provide tax, legal or financial advice. Consult a qualified tax professional.
Savings and cost figures
Savings are not guaranteed. Any figures shown are illustrative examples only and are not a quote, offer or estimate for your property. Actual savings depend on your energy use, utility rates and rate changes, roof orientation, shading, system size and performance, local weather, applicable tariffs and the terms of your contract. Eligibility and savings are determined by your utility, roof condition and roof space, azimuth, tree location, shading, weather and other factors.
“No upfront cost” and “$0 down”
“No upfront cost” and “$0 down” refer to qualifying solar lease or power purchase agreement (PPA) financing, under which eligible homeowners may have no out-of-pocket cost at the time of installation. Solar panels are not free. Under a lease or PPA a third-party finance company owns the system and the homeowner makes monthly payments, typically over a 20 to 25 year term, often with an annual price escalator. Total payments may exceed the cash price of a comparable system. Eligibility depends on homeownership, credit, roof condition, shading, utility provider, location and other underwriting factors, and is not guaranteed.
Financing
Financing, where offered, is provided by third-party lenders on their own terms. Approval is not guaranteed and is subject to credit assessment. Interest, fees, dealer fees and the total amount repayable will be disclosed by the lender and the installer before you sign anything. Solar Funding USA is not a lender, broker or credit intermediary.
Florida and power purchase agreements
Power purchase agreements are not available to residential customers in Florida. Under Florida Public Service Commission Order 17009, selling electricity to a retail customer makes the seller a public utility. Florida homeowners seeking a no-upfront-cost option are offered a solar lease, not a PPA.
How we are paid
We receive a referral fee from the installing company when we introduce a
homeowner. The fee is paid by the installer, not by you, and does not change the price you are
quoted. We receive no payment from any lender.
